Betty Dianne Roberson Hendrix, age 70, of Palmer, Alaska passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from ovarian cancer. Dianne was born in Atlanta, GA on January 12, 1946. She grew up in Atlanta and graduated from O’Keefe High School in 1964. Dianne and her husband, lived in many places in the U.S. and Canada, finally settling in Laguna Vista, TX. There she pursued her artistic talent in painting portraits and scenery, while being a loving mother. She was a member of the Houston Art League and her paintings were displayed in Houston and Dallas. In 1994 she moved to Alaska, eventually settling into a community near Palmer. Dianne was an accomplished artist and photographer. She loved riding her ATV on the trails in Alaska, taking pictures along the way. Dianne is survived by her brother and sister-in-law of Conyers, GA, two daughters, four grandchildren, two step-daughters, several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Dianne’s wishes were to be cremated, and her ashes will be scattered in Alaska. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
