Former Palmer resident Bill Granath, 57, died Feb. 20, 2012, in Anchorage.
No services are planned at this time.
Bill was born July 30, 1954, to Walter T. and Geraldine Mae (Johnson) Granath in the territory of Alaska and lived in Palmer until 2008. He graduated from Palmer High School in 1972. Bill held various jobs in the Valley. An avid guitar player, he enjoyed playing music during the late 1960s, ’70s and ’80s.
Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Daryl Korsmeyer of Lakewood, Colo.; brother and sister-in-law, Phil and Ann Granath of Palmer; two nephews and three step-grandchildren. Bill was grateful for the relationships maintained with family members in Wisconsin and New Mexico.
Preceding him in death were his mother and father.
The family extends a special thank you to the assisted living facility where he resided.
Arrangements were by the Cremation Society of Alaska.
