Bonnie was born at home in Clearfork, West Virginia
Her father was a school teacher and pastor. Bonnie is preceded in death by her father - Hilliard Morgan, mother - Ardelle, sisters -Ruth and Ernestine. Bonnie also lost three children prior to her death; Kelly Vance, Sherrie Lynn and Terrie Lynn. She is survived by her son, Kenny Vance and grandson Dillon Kunayak as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren who kept in close touch with her in her last years. Bonnie’s son, Kevin died just two months after she passed.
As a young woman, Bonnie was a hairdresser and flew small airplanes. She homesteaded here in Alaska and loved to garden and cook for others. Bonnie shared her faith, encouragement and hospitality with so many. She was known for gifting friends and strangers with her baked banana bread in pint jars.
Kevin was preceded in death by his sisters - Sherrie Lynn and Terrie Lynn, his brother, Kelly and his mother, Bonnie. He is survived by his Aunt Rachel, Uncles Robert and Randall, brother Kenny, his son Dillon and many cousins. Kevin worked as an electrician before moving to Alaska to assist his mother with her homestead. He loved to cook and garden. Kevin spent much time and effort supporting the growth and nurturing of his son, Dillon. He was so proud to see him graduate and begin work after high school.
