Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Brandy Jean Reed, 42 years of age, was born on Sept. 23, 1975, on Kodiak Island, Alaska. She passed away on Dec. 13, 2017, in Palmer, Alaska. Brandy was born to William T. Wever and Debbie A Wever. She attended Kodiak High School and graduated in 1994. She went on to study Dental Assisting, Phlebotomy, and trained as a swim life coach.
Brandy was actively involved in the horse and farming community in Palmer, Alaska. She lovingly provided respite care for foster children through Hearts and Hands of Care. She raised horses and chickens, and was a tremendously talented, devoted homemaker, wife, and mother.
She is survived by her father Roy Chavarria and mother Debbie Chavarria, loving husband Erik Reed, her children Alluree Olson, Zackary Olson, Evanee Olson, Ryker Reed, and her siblings Holly Ahearn, William Wever and Matthew Chavarria.
