Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Brenden Dalton Lee passed from this earth on Sept. 29, 2013.
His family and friends remember him as a loving, kind and happy young man who had a great sense of humor and an especially infectious grin.
Brenden was born in Palmer Sept. 24, 1995, and spent his entire life in the Matanuska Valley, growing up with a strong love for the outdoors. He attended Wasilla High School, and excelled as a member of the cross-country, soccer, track and cross-country ski teams. Teammates and coaches alike regarded him as an inspiring leader and friend.
Brenden is survived by his parents, Blaine and Cindy; his older brother, Alden; and his grandparents, Frank and Marie Lee, and Jerry and Janice Sommers. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.
Brenden’s family wishes to express its gratitude for the concern and support given by the community during this time of loss.
