Brent Lee Cassidy, 62, died May 25, 2011, at Mat-Su Regional Hospital in Pa lmer.
Bishop Fishback will officiate at memorial services at 2 p.m., Sunday at the Willow Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel on Downey Road.
Brent was born Feb. 26, 1949, in Allegan, Mich., to Carl L. and Helen Cassidy.
He moved to Alaska in 1984, and resided in Willow.
He was employed as a mechanic on the North Slope. His family writes that he was a great man full of wisdom and knowledge and will be sorely missed.
Brent is survived by his wife, Judy Cassidy; sons, Brent Cassidy Jr. and wife Kristina, and Brian Cassidy and wife Joanne; daughter, Bridgett Cassidy; grandchildren, Roman, Jordan, Thomas, Carl and Eric Cassidy; brother, Monty Cassidy; and sisters, Darene Kesler and Melanie Sletton. He is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews, along with 11 grand-nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Carl L. and Helen Cassidy.
Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel and Crematory of Wasilla cared for the family.
