Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Wasilla resident Bret Dean Millo, 50, passed away on May 30, 2010, due to a tragic accident in Wrangell. Bret was born on Sept. 16, 1959, in Longview, Wash., to Faye and Dean Millo.
Bret lived with his wife in Wasilla. He was a logger, professional guide and an avid outdoorsman. He was a member of the local congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and cared deeply about his faith. He loved his family and was happiest when with them. Bret was well known for his quick-witted sense of humor and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was the beloved husband of 30 years to Kristy Ann Millo and a loving father to three daughters, Randi Bleau, Jesse Kirgis and Jamie Millo; sons-in-law Gabe Bleau and Mikie Kirgis; and a proud “Papa” to his three grandsons, Tucker, Tanner and Lane. He is also survived by his mom, Faye Morgan; brother, Brady Millo; sister, Betsi Stich; grandmother, Ruby Bond; mother and father-in-law, Jack and Terri Woods; as well as numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Bret was preceded in death by his father, Dean Millo, and grandfather, Harry Bond.
A private graveside service is planned.
Arrangements were with Valley Funeral Home in Wasilla.
