Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Brian Carl Dittman, 45, died Feb. 19, 2012, at his home in Lazy Mountain.
He was born Sept. 25, 1966, in Oconto County, Wisc. He moved to Alaska in 1989.
He lived in Juneau from 1989 to 2003, when he moved to Palmer. He worked for the state of Alaska for 15 years, first for the Department of Environmental Conservation then the Department of Public Safety.
He was a master of the Crane Game. He gave bags and bags of toys every year to Toys for Tots.
“He was the love of my life,” his wife wrote.
Surviving are his wife, Wanda; father, Carl Dittman; brother, Kyle Dittman; niece, Marissa; nephew, Aaron; and sisters, Dawn, Gail and Lynn.
His ashes will be interred in the plot next to his mother in Wisconsin.
Kehl’s Palmer Chapel cared for the family.
