Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Bruce Anthony Servin, 57, died Oct. 14, 2007, at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Palmer. No services are planned.
Born Nov. 11, 1949, in Hutchinson, Minn., Servin served in the U.S. Navy from 1967 to 1970 and came to Alaska in 1986, first living in Chugiak until 1994, then in Wasilla from 1994 until his death.
Servin retired from BP in 2000 and was a member of VFW Post 9365 and American Legion Post 35. He enjoyed his retirement, traveling in his motor home and spending time with family and friends, and especially spending time with his granddaughter.
Servin is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Brandon (Rebecca) Servin and granddaughter Cameryn Servin of Wasilla; daughter, Stephanie (Greg) Hill of Wasilla; mother, Fern; brother, Steve Servin of Hutchinson; and sister, Terie Servin of Sauk Centre, Minn. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd.
Valley Funeral Homes and Crematory of Wasilla and Palmer assisted the family.
