Burt fought a long battle with cancer. He was born May 8, 1937, was a lifelong resident of Alaska, and spent the last 35 years in Sutton. He said, “I lived a long, good life for 75 years before cancer.” He had happiness in his heart and no regrets.

He married his best friend Sandra on Sept. 17, 1982. They enjoyed working out in the yard, hunting, fishing, traveling and family get-togethers. “Gramps” enjoyed and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Burt was a member of the Palmer Moose Lodge, American Legion Post 15 and an Elder Statesman Council Member for Chickaloon Village. He was very well respected.
