Cameron was born Dec. 1, 1985, in Palmer. He graduated from Palmer High School in 2005 and was employed at Carrs Safeway, Vanderweale Farms, First Student, Seward Dry Dock, Sampson Steel and GIS Nana.

Cameron was affiliated with First Baptist Church of Palmer and his hobbies were anything with a motor, the Green Bay Packers, reptiles, hiking and camping outdoors.

His family writes: “Cameron will be greatly missed by his family and friends. We know he is walking and talking to his best friend and brother Jesus. He was a loving and caring father, son, grandson, cousin, nephew and uncle. He liked anything that had a motor. He had dreams of fixing up his truck and riding his motorcycle, but most of all, his dream was to grow his relationship with his son, Maverick, whom he loved dearly. He enjoyed singing with the praise team at church. He was always willing to help anyone no matter if they were friend or stranger. He always greeted others with a big smile and hugs for friends. We love you Cameron.”

He is survived by his parents, William Phillip and Donna Jean MacDonald of Wasilla; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Gail MacDonald Freyling and Bill Mason Freyling of Wasilla; nephews, Mason and Oylan Freyling of Wasilla; brother, Alan Phillip MacDonald of Wasilla; son, Maverick Daniel MacDonald of Fairbanks; grandmother, Mary Charlyne Hughes of Birchwood; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
