October 20, 1943 - October 25, 2025 Carl William Wilbur, 82, of Wasilla, Alaska, passed away peacefully at home on October 25, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on October 20, 1943, in Eugene, Oregon, and married his high school sweetheart, Marcella Milbrett, in 1963. In 1967, they moved to Alaska, embracing the frontier lifestyle in Wasilla. Carl worked as a heavy equipment operator, logger, mechanic, and septic system installer before founding Wilbur & Sons, which he proudly operated for 25 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gold mining, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Elizabeth Wilbur; his wife, Marcella; his brothers Herbert and Dale; sister Carol; and grandson Scott. He is survived by his current wife, Reggie Wilbur; children Colene (Tim) Gardner, Jim (Denise) Wilbur, and Troy (Christie) Wilbur; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 step-children; 8 step-grandchildren; and 1 step-great-grandchild. A Celebration of Life will be held November 22, 2025, from 2–6 p.m. at the Wasilla Elks Lodge, 2600 N Barry’s Resort Dr. Potluck dishes are welcome.
