Carol Anne Sutherland

Carol Anne Sutherland died July 26, 2023, in Shelton, Washington, aged 80. Born 2/9/1943 in Olympia, Washington, she is survived by her children, Debbi Arnold (FL), Tomas Winkler (WA), Carol Roberts (FL), and Mike Johnson (AK). Her son, Leonard Winkler, died previously.

Carol gave Wasilla resident Mike Johnson up for adoption when he was an infant, but always hoped she would be able to find him. Due to Ancestry DNA, in 2019 she received a message asking if she was willing to meet him. Their reunion was tearful and joyful.

Through Mike and his ex-wife Cyndee, she discovered grandchildren Brittany Harrell, Breanne Johnson, and Brooklyn Andregg , and great-grandchildren Abigail, Lorelai and Ezra Harrell; Adicyn and Daphne Andregg who gave her so much joy. She lived with Mike until her poor health made it necessary to move to an assisted living facility. In 2022 she moved back to Shelton, Washington where she lived until her death.
