Carol Elaine Greeno

Carol Elaine (Anderson) Greeno passed away on August 8, 2016. She was born on July 21, 1933, to Axel and Elsie Anderson in Camp Douglas, Wisconsin and had one sister, Anita Anderson. She married George Greeno on August 27, 1951. First and foremost in Carol’s life was her unfailing trust and faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We are confident in the knowledge that she was welcomed into His presence with loving arms. Carol enjoyed driving and made many trips up the Alaska Highway which included one trip with her son’s 1938 Ford pickup truck. She drove school bus in Wisconsin and after relocating continued driving for school activities in Alaska for a combined total of 40 years. She also enjoyed flying and made several trips up the Alaska Highway. She is survived by her husband, George; sister, Anita; children, Richard (Jan), Linda (Reg) Koopman, Judy (Gordy) McMillen, Marlys (Paul) Woodard and their families including, 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Carol was loved by her entire family and many friends. She will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at Fairview Loop Baptist Church at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, with reception following. Donations may be sent to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Arrangements were under the direction of Valley Funeral Home, Wasilla Chapel.
