Longtime Valley resident Carolyn Furbush passed away June 29, 2014, at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Palmer.
She Furbush was born Aug. 19, 1936, in Hartland, Maine, to William and Alice Brawn. She graduated from Hartland High School in 1954 and married Clarence Furbush on Nov. 23, 1955, in Hartland, Maine.
She and her family came to Alaska in May 1968, from Ilion, New York, where she was a homemaker and mother of seven children.
She enjoyed family, going to their camps, snowmachining, reading, sewing, crocheting, playing cards and games, crafts and spending time with friends.
Carolyn’s family writes, “Carolyn’s love for her family, generosity and kind/giving heart meant a lot to those who received and to everyone around her.”
Surviving are her husband, Clarence Furbush; sister and a brother, five children, 13 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her son, Paul Furbush.
