Palmer resident Carolyn J. “June” Sullivan, 70, died April 1, 2010, of heart disease at Providence Hospital in Anchorage. Her loving children were by her side.
June was born in Georgia on Nov. 7, 1939. In 1955, she met and married Charles E. Sullivan Jr. They moved to Alaska in 1958 and raised their children, Greg and Debbie Sullivan. Retiring from her civil service job in 1977, June moved to Idaho. In 1993, June moved to Washington to be near her family. In 2009, June moved back to Alaska to spend time with her son and his family.
June’s passions were many but serving the Lord and his word was her greatest.
Her second greatest passion was spending time with her grandchildren particularly her “heartthrob” Michael.
Greg and Debbie were blessed to have a close, loving and Godly relationship with their mother. She will be dearly missed.
Her husband preceded Mrs. Sullivan in death in 1989.
She is survived by her son Greg and daughter-in-law Wendy, daughter Debbie, grandchildren Dana, Michael, Scott and Katie, great-grandchildren, Brynden, Zoe and Caleb, plus various nieces and nephews.
Witzleben Legacy Funeral Home provided cremation services.
Special thanks to Providence Hospital and their excellent staff.
