Carolyn Sue Hoekzema, 67, of Wasilla, passed away peacefully on August 29th. Carolyn grew up in Willow and continued to live in the surrounding area throughout her adulthood. She enjoyed most of her professional years doing what she loved which was baking and cooking. Ask anyone who had one of her home-baked cookies or pies, they were simply the best. Carolyn, who was an amazing wife, mother and friend will be dearly missed and always remembered.
Carolyn was predeceased by her father and mother, Francis and Joy Bennett. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Larry; her daughter, Carrie; and her son, Ernest. Carolyn requested a celebration of life be held in her honor.
