CASSIE MARIE LACROSSE

Wasilla resident, Cassie Marie Lacrosse, 22, died of complications associated with diabetes Nov. 28 at home in Kalaheo, Hawaii. A funeral will be held Monday at 7 p.m., at Wasilla Bible Church, 1651 W. Nicola Ave., in Wasilla with Pastor Larry Kroon officiating.

Cassie was born Sept. 14, 1987 in Anchorage to Mark and LaRae Lacrosse.

Cassie was pursuing a college degree at Marylhurst University in Portland, Ore., and worked as a tour guide with Kauai Outfitters in Hawaii.

Cassie loved art, photography, travel, music and young children.

Her family wrote: “Cassie was a compassionate, fearless lover of people, especially the disadvantaged. We will miss our beautiful, artistic, adventure-loving wanderer and look forward to joyous reunion in Heaven. Micah 6:8, Psalm 91 and Psalm 30:11.”

She is survived by her mother, LaRae Lacrosse of Alaska; father, Mark Lacrosse of Alaska; sisters, Rebecca, Aimee and RaeAnne Lacrosse of Alaska; grandparents, Lorrie and Helen Bartlett of Ariz.; grandmother, Donna Lacrosse of Ariz.; grandfather, H.J. “Frenchy” Lacrosse of N.D. and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins from North Dakota, Hawaii, Washington, Arizona and Minnesota. She was also preceded in death by an infant cousin, Christina Lacrosse as well as Addison Wolf and uncle, Ilhan Bahadir.

Arrangements are with Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel in Wasilla.
