Catherine Mary Hall, 78, passed away while surrounded by family and friends on October 11, 2021, at her home in Wasilla, Alaska. Father Joseph Mc Gilloway officiated a Celebration of Life service on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Sacred Heart church in Wasilla, Alaska. Interment took place on Friday, October 15, 2021, at JBER National Cemetery, Anchorage Alaska.
Catherine was born May 30, 1943, in Lynn, Massachusetts. She married James M. Hall (deceased) on December 31, 1962. “Cathy” moved to Alaska in 1989 with her family.
Cathy’s loves were her faith, family, friends, traveling, gardening and cooking. Many family members can recall stories where “who made the best chicken wings were the topic of debate.”
Catherine is survived by six children, Gloria (Gregg) Ellis, James (Tara) Hall, Gregory (Linda) Hall, Eric Hall, Leonard Hall and Kirk Hall; 16 grandchildren, Desmond, Quinton, Daryn, Julius, Tiffany, Brittany, Laticka, Lamonica, Danielle, Lenise, Mackenzie, Mya, Caleb, Isaiah, Nithaniel and Briyanna; and 21 great grandchildren. Catherine is also survived by her brothers Kevin, Kris, and Kenneth Kimber; and sister, Karan Kimber.
Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, James, and youngest son, Chad.
