Michelle Olson, 52, passed away peacefully Aug. 8, 2013 in her home in Wasilla.
Michelle was born Dec. 27, 1960 in Cody, Wyo., daughter of Sherie Walker. Michelle stayed in Cody until 1990, when she decided to venture to Alaska, where she has resided since. While here she met Emil Hampton, her closest friend and companion, who stood beside her during her battle with cancer.
Michelle is survived by her daughter, Ashli Werner; grandkids, Keirra Burleson and Jaxon Werner; her mother, Sheri Walker of Cody, Wyo.; four sisters, Heidi Frost (Werner) of Cody, Wyo., Sheila Walker (Werner) of Sheridan, Wyo., Diane Hopkins (Walker) of Savage, Minn., and Dena Moller (Walker) of Boulder, Wyo.
She was preceded in death by her father, Don Werner.
Michelle enjoyed spending time reading novels, a good glass of wine, her time with Emil and, of course NASCAR racing.
