Cathy L. Smith "Casey" Died April 12, 2018 @ MSRMC, surrounded by family. She was 65. Born June 4, 1951 in New Kensington PA to Tom & Ida Hohn. The youngest of 5 and the only daughter. Oct. 1973 Casey followed her oldest brother AL to Palmer, Ak. Where she lived until her death. She is preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Curt (Smitty), mother & father, brothers Al, Tim, and Rich, nephew Peter, and nieces Tammy and Debra Badger. She is survived by her brother Tom (NY), only child daughter Nikki Sherwood, grandchildren Nami (Lil K-C), John (NY), Shila Sherwood, Noble Sherwood (MN), Tricia Sherwood, Nyda,Michelle, Danica Samarco, Taryn, Kaitlyn, Ashley, and Tory. 6 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. We are waiting for one more person to arrive in AK before we announce the date and time of her service. He ashes will be placed with her husband Curts privately by their daughter Nikki. Thank you for understanding the reason for the delay. Services for Cathy "Casey" Smith 1:30 pm Saturday May 12 at St John Lutheran Church in Palmer, AK. Pastor Johnathan Rocky will officiate.
