Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Chad Edward Hall, 40, died of natural causes March 21, 2013, at home with his loving family at his side in Palmer.
A celebration of life in honor of Chad is at 11 a.m., March 27 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1201 E. Bogard Road, Wasilla. A public viewing is from 9 to 10 a.m. at Valley Funeral Home, 151 E. Herning Ave., Wasilla.
Chad was born Aug. 16, 1972 on K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base in Gwinn, Mich., to James and Catherine Hall.
Chad graduated from Wasilla High School. He was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus and enjoyed flying floatplanes.
“His caring character, gentle soul and independent spirit will be deeply missed,” his family wrote.
Preceding him in death was his father, James McKinley Hall.
Surviving are his loving mother, Catherine Hall of Palmer; sister, Gloria Ellis (Hall) of Indianapolis, Ind.; brother, James Hall Jr. of Kissimmee, Fla.; brother, Gregory A. Hall of Wasilla; brother, Eric Hall of Washington, Ill.; brother, Leonard Hall of Wasilla; and brother, Kirk Hall of Palmer.
Arrangements were cared for by Valley Funeral Home and Crematory.
