Charles A. Ward, 56, passed away September 7th, 2020 Mat-Su Regional Hospital, Wasilla, Alaska.
Charles was born in Salem, Oregon and grew up in the Grants Pass Oregon, area. He became an Alaska resident in 1990, residing in Wasilla with his family. Charles was employed at First Student, Premier Janitorial, as well as Fronteras Spanish Immersion Charter School. He met his wife Victoria while attending Southern Oregon State College during their sophomore year. They were married on June 24th, 1989. His loving mother Laura Jensen raised him to be the wonderful man we all knew and loved.
Charles battled an aggressive and unforgiving pancreatic/liver cancer for two months after diagnosis. He will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Wasilla. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date for all the wonderful people who were a part of his life.
Charles was an amazing husband, dad, grandpa, son, brother, uncle, coach and friend to so many. He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, working on his vehicles, being involved in coaching track and football as well as spending time with his family.
Charles is survived by his wife Victoria Ward, daughter Chayna Ward, son Charles J Ward, granddaughter Layken Ward-Wright, all of Wasilla, Alaska; mother Laura Jensen of Portland, Oregon; sister Sheryl Guice of Portland, Oregon; sister Christy Williams of L.A., California; and his nieces and nephews.
Charles was respected by many and loved by all. May he rest in peace.
