Charles “Chuck” Henderson

Charles “Chuck” Henderson, 73, died June 12, 2011, at his residence in Live Oak, Calif.

A graveside service is at 2 p.m., June 16, at Live Oak Cemetery, Live Oak, Calif.

He was born Nov. 11, 1937, St. Louis, Mo. and was a long-time resident of Chico, having worked as an electronics tech at Chico Sate University.

He moved to Alaska and flew with the Civil Air Patrol. Chuck served in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and flying.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Olivia Ann Henderson of Live Oak, Calif.; son, Jeffery (Abbi) Henderson of Live Oak, Calif.; daughter, Tammie Lynn (Joe) Katin of Avalon, Calif.; grandchildren, Jedediah and Samuel Henderson; two brothers and one sister, and other family members who will miss him dearly.

Interment is at Live Oak Cemetery, Live Oak, Calif.

The family suggests contributions in his memory be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Arrangements were entrusted to Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel.
