Charles Hintsala "Charlie", who was born on August the 6th, 1961 in Ishpeming, Michigan, to the late Paul and Beverly (Lyyski) Hintsala, has passed away at the ripe young age of 57. He danced his way into the next world with his beloved wife Colleen by his side, on the evening of August the 28, 2018 in Palmer, Alaska. He officially became an Alaskan in 1979 and was a Construction Superintendent whose job had sent him all over remote Alaska as well as to the Lower 48. More recently he and his wife became the proud owners of C & C Builders. He is survived by his daughter Kortney Redick, her husband Ryan, and their two sons; and his daughter Cheyanne Hintsala; stepson, Andrew Provo, his wife Savannah, and their two children; and his stepdaughter, Courtney Rae Warner; his brothers, Greg and his wife Beth of Ishpeming, MI and Lowell and his wife Lynn of Republic, MI; his sister, Roxanne Sillivent and her Husband Bob of Weatherford, TX. He also leaves behind his faithful golden retriever and work companion, Aurora. Charlie truly had a passion for everything that the Alaskan outdoors had to offer no matter the weather or season. He was a proud member the Sons of the Legion at the American Legion Post 15 and of the Palmer Moose Lodge #793. He is also a past member of Elks Club and American Legions in Palmer, Homer, and Kodiak.
