Charles James "Jimmy" Marsh passed from this life on Sept. 3 at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage.
Loved and revered by family, friends and associates alike, Jimmy will be sorely missed.
Jimmy Marsh was born July 31, 1950, in Highland, Kansas, to Charles and Mary Louise Marsh, their firstborn son. Just before his 6th birthday, he moved with his family to Palmer in 1956.
Jimmy lived on the Agricultural Experiment Farm in Palmer until he graduated from Palmer High School in 1967. After high school Jimmy attended Alaska Methodist University then transferred to Kansas State University and later moved back to reside in Alaska.
Jimmy was a man of many talents and trades but was an especially gifted musician, writer and storyteller. His passion for music, quick wit and charisma endeared many around him and all will miss good times laughing and sharing memories with Jimmy.
Charles James Marsh was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Louise in 1990; and his father, Charles F. Marsh in 2013.
Surviving are his sister, Kathryn L. Marsh-Thompson; two nephews and one niece.
