Chuck was best known as Hoverbug.
Friend, lover, and husband to Joanne (Mama Jo) for 38 years. Father to Heather Lyn Metrik and Elizabeth (Liz) Robin Merlucci, two sons-in-law Tim Metrik and Jimmy Merlucci. Pop-Pop to Zachary Charles Metrik, 14; Alexandra Eden Metrik, 11; Ryan Michael Joseph-Merlucci, 9; Madyson Rose Metrik, 7; Thomas Charles (TC: Type Certificate) Merlucci, 2; brother to every member of the Cessna Pilots Society and a true friend to anyone he met along the way.
Born April 7, 1952, he passed on to a New Plane on June 14.
He is survived by his mother Jane, two brothers, Larry and Andy, a sister, Barbara Hallett, multiple cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father Major Richard H. Potts.
He always said: “I did what I wanted to do.”
He was laid to rest at Montana Creek Airstrip so his friends can still give him a buzz job
“We love you, Chuck.”
A Celebration of Life will be Saturday at 1500 hours.
Arrangements were with Valley Funeral Home and Crematory in Wasilla.
