Charles Joseph Strange
Resident of Wasilla, Alaska, Charles Joseph Strange, 58, passed away November 26, 2022 at his home. Charles was born on February 27, 1964 in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania to Philip and Marlene Strange. Charles and his family moved to Birchwood, Alaska in 1971, then moved to Wasilla in 1977. He graduated from Wasilla High in 1982. He married Roxane Jane Humphrey on September 20, 1997 in Wasilla, Alaska. He worked on the oil spill in Valdez, MB Contracting in Anchorage, then he worked for the Municipality of Anchorage from January 7, 1997 to November 2022. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Union Local 302. He enjoyed hunting, camping, and working on one of his MANY projects. Chuck’s family wrote, “He was always willing to help his family and friends when asked, Chuck was very proud of each one of his kids, he taught them how to do lots of things that they will cherish forever.” He is survived by his wife Roxane, son Joseph, daughter Mary all of Wasilla, AK daughter Kaitlynn of Fairbanks, AK, brother Gene and Karen of Anchorage, AK, sister Joyce and Brian Birdsall of Montana, sister Barbara and Bob Fithian of Hollis, AK, and many nieces and nephews.
