ANCHORAGE — Charter College recently announced the launch of its newest program, the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
According to a press release, this is the fourth blended medical program added to the Anchorage Campus, "demonstrating Charter College’s commitment to strengthen community healthcare and meet the growing needs in Alaska."
The AAS in Diagnostic Medical Sonography program is designed to give students the necessary knowledge and practical skills to excel in this field.
The press release indicated this program aims to help graduates enhance patient care and make major contributions to the local healthcare industry through a comprehensive curriculum, state-of-the-art facilities, and expert faculty.
The program also involves didactic instruction; hands-on lab applications; and immersive clinical rotations in hospitals, clinics, and healthcare agencies.
AAS in Diagnostic Medical Sonography graduates will be equipped with essential tools for their careers such as critical thinking, problem solving, and how to tackle contemporary issues.
Charter College is currently enrolling for the AAS in Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, and classes begin June 17.
