Big Lake resident Christoffer Cruz Inman, 24, died Dec. 16, 2011.
Chris, as he was known to family and friends, was born Dec. 25, 1986, in Anchorage. This Christmas would have been his golden birthday 25 on the 25th. He was so looking forward to that, and his family said he was a great person who will be fondly remembered as a loving father, son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin and friend who touched many people in many ways. He had a kind heart and was always helping others.
A viewing for family and friends is from 3 to 6 p.m., Dec. 29 at Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel, 1015 S. Check St. in Wasilla with a celebration of life service at 6 p.m., at the funeral home.
Chris enjoyed driving anything with a throttle, which included motorcycles, snowmachines, hot rods and buggies. He also liked fixing cars and owned and operated his own business, Cruz in Auto and Tire, where he loved helping people fix their cars.
Chris is survived by his father, Mark; his mothers, Lisa and Debra; sisters, Stephanie and little Deb; brother, Mikey; daughter, Mykayla; nephews, Cameron and Devan; grandparents, Carol and Charlie, and Dale and Jeannie; his dog, Buddy Love; and also in his heart was Noah. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
"He is free now and will always be missed and loved by his family and friends he made along his life's journey," the family wrote. "Happy birthday to you our son, brother, grandson and nephew."
Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel and Crematory of Wasilla cared for the family.
