Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Christopher “Chris” Lee Friedel, 26, died April 22, 2012, in Wasilla. He was born Aug. 14, 1985, in Hawaii.
A funeral service in his honor is at 1 p.m., April 30 at Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel, 1015 S. Check St., Wasilla. Visitation is one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Chris enjoyed the outdoors more than the average outdoorsman. He was an avid bow and rifle hunter and a great fisherman who enjoyed hunting whitetail deer. He also enjoyed camping, mudbogging with his friends and family, and hanging out with his mom and dad.
Chris will be deeply missed by his loving family and the many people whose lives he touched.
Surviving are his mother Kim (Joe) Fauble of Wasilla; brother, Nathan (Shena) Chambers of Bay City; sister, Alisa Fauble of Wasilla; and grandparents, Evelyn (Shawn) Kelly and George Friedel of Forsyth, Ga.
Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel and Crematory Wasilla cared for the family.
