Christopher George Kulhanek was born July 8, 1977, in Biloxi, Mississippi, at Keesler A.F.B. to George A. and Ann M. Kulhanek. His family moved to Alaska in 1979 as his father was based at Elmendorf A.F.B.
Christopher attended Butte Elementary and Palmer Middle schools before graduating from Palmer High in 1995. He attended UAA and excelled in computer-aided design (CAD) and architecture, landing him several jobs in that field. He left Alaska in 2012, resided for a short time in Georgia, then finally accepted a job in Texas, where he has been for two years.
He leaves behind two children, Preston Kulhanek, 13, and Cody Kulhanek, 10. He is also survived by his father, George, and stepmother Sheri Kulhanek; mother, Ann Dionne; brothers, Aaron and Daniel Kulhanek, and Ashlee, Danielle, Tanner and Melanie Dionne, as well as lifelong friends Jason Strand and Burt Taylor.
He has several family members who reside in Alaska, Minnesota, Hawaii, New York and Florida.
Christopher loved the outdoors. His joys were climbing, fishing, camping, golf and shooting.
