Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Cindy Marie Cunningham, 40, died Nov. 3, 2007, at her Wasilla home due to natural causes. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Valley Funeral Home, 151 E. Herning in Wasilla.
Cunningham was born May 5, 1967, in San Francisco. She graduated from Downey High School and earned a degree in medical coding and billing before moving to Wasilla in 1989, where she worked at Wal-Mart, Fred Meyer and Holiday.
She was baptized at the First Baptist Church and liked to be with her family. She enjoyed reading, laughing, music, dancing and watching movies. She loved to joke and laugh, and had a big heart. She was there for people whenever they needed something.
Cunningham is survived by children, Holley and Kevin Cunningham of Wasilla, Ricky (Charissa) Cunningham of Weatherford, Texas; unborn grandchild and granddaughter Lily Cunningham of Weatherford, Texas; parents, Alice and Larry Blythe Sr.; brothers, Larry Jr. of Tolleson, Ariz., and David; sister, Laurie Blythe; sister-in-law, Leah Blythe; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edith and George Edlund; sister, Connie Gardner; and nephew Braden.
