Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

“Sweet” Cindy McKeel, resident of Estacada, Ore., Whidbey Island, Wash., and our great state of Alaska.
Cindy worked with her husband Jayson for many years, “at least one lifetime” in underground construction. She also worked in finish carpentry and cabinet making with longtime friend Alan. She worked on Big Lake as a bartender and continued to touch many lives with her positive, giving, sincere compassion and unconditional joy! She is and will be missed by all.
Cindy was preceded in death by her brother Lenny, mother Gloria, father Papa Bill, husband Jayson, and little sister Wendy (Stormy).
Surviving are her only child, her son Jared and his wife, Bethany; grandson, Jayce McKeel; her loving stepmother, Sally; and niece and nephew, Kayla and Jesse Glen.
