Cornelius Jacob (CJ) McBride, 42, suddenly died at Alaska Regional Hospital due to cardiac arrest on November 6th. C.J. was born in Anchorage Alaska on January 26th, 1978 to Donna and Mac McBride.

CJ was known for his infectious personality and unlimited generosity. He was a loving father, brother, son and friend who welcomed anyone he met with open arms. He would spend his summers camping, fishing and boating on the Kenai Peninsula, and many summer and winter nights in the Matsu Valley riding snow machines and four wheelers. One of his great joys was his pristinely restored yellow Monte Carlo, that many of us can close our eyes and see him driving to this day.

CJ is survived by his fiancé, Niki Detablan; children, Cornelius (Caddy) McBride, Lauraya Sauafea, Keshawn McBride, Tyrell McBride, Jaiden Boyd and Nakeyda McBride; mother, Donna McBride; and siblings, Dametra McBride and Sharita Napper.

CJ will be missed, and the family has been appreciative of the prayers and support provided by those who knew him. There will be a viewing on Sunday, November 15th at Evergreen Memorial Chapel, 737 E. St., Anchorage, AK 99501.
