Corrine Florence Funnell, 86, passed away peacefully at home Sept. 17, 2014, surrounded by her beloved family.
She was born Sept. 27, 1927, in Muskegon (Lakeside), Michigan, to William “Art” and Florence (Mosher) Langston.
Preceding her in death was her son, Keith Salter; and husbands, Kenneth “Bud” Salter, Neil DeRochey, and Garfield “Gar” Funnell.
Corrine spent 20-plus years as a pioneer in Wasilla. She spent winters at her home in Mesa, Arizona. She was a spunky and adventurous woman who always told it like it was and loved her family dearly.
Survivors include eight children: Gary Salter of Blue Lake Township; Steven (Leslie) Salter of Whitehall; Neil DeRochey of Hesperia; John (Jo Ann) DeRochey, Desty (Geralyn) DeRochey, and Darcy (Mark) Cunningham, all of Holland; Rocke (Pam) DeRochey of Monett, Missouri; and Tammie (Tricia) DeRochey of Mesa, Arizona; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends scattered across the country and Canada.
Per Corrine’s wishes there will be no services. Her ashes will be scattered in her favorite places across the country. In lieu of flowers consider donation to Hospice of Michigan.
