Cory William Robinson, 55, passed away at his home in Wasilla, Alaska on Wednesday, August 1, 2018. A viewing was held at Wasilla Heritage Chapel on Sunday, August 5, 2018 with burial in Nora Springs, Iowa on Wednesday, August 8, 2018. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Cory was born in Osage, Iowa on March 8, 1963. He moved to Alaska with his parents and brother in 1963. He later returned to Iowa to attend Iowa State College. Cory worked at Robinson Millwork, Inc. with his brother most of his adult life, a business that was started by his father in 1978. He enjoyed playing darts, softball, bowling, hunting, fishing, and riding snowmachines. Cory was a smart man with a kind heart. His quick wit always left friends and family smiling.
Cory is survived by his mother Diane Conley (John), brother David Robinson (Sherry), wife Bethany Smith, daughter Kirsten Kleewein (Kenneth), son Heywood Robinson, step-daughter Myla Burton, step-son Dallas Smith, as well as two grandchildren Kenneth and Bellamy Kleewein, and extended family members. Cory was preceded in death by his father Donald Robinson, uncle Duane Robinson, and his grandparents. He will be missed by many.
