Cynthia Elaine Welch

Cynthia Elaine Welch (Cindy), beloved wife and mother, was called home to our Lord and Savior Saturday, Feb. 6. She died at home after a nine-year battle with ovarian cancer.

Cindy loved being a wife and mother. She became part of the local quilting community when she started working at Just Sew, and part of the gardening community through her work at Danamac Acres. Cindy looked forward to her time hiking, skiing and exploring Hatcher Pass and the Talkeetna Mountains.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Bert; son, William; daughter, Chantel; grandsons, Ryan, Riley and Tyler Welch; sister, Sandi McGuire; and brothers, Ken and James Williams.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Lazy Mountain Bible Church in Palmer on Saturday, Feb. 27, at 2 p.m., followed by a reception.
