Palmer resident Dah T. Tzou, 78, died Dec. 27, 2007 of natural causes at home.
A memorial service was held Dec. 29 at Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel in Wasilla. Tzou’s ashes will be interred at the Palmer Pioneer Cemetery at a later date.
Tzou was born Feb. 26, 1926 in China. He was educated through middle school. He was a former resident of San Dong, China, and Inchon, Korea. He came to Alaska in 1986, and was a cook at Peking Garden Restaurant in Palmer, from which he retired in 2003. He enjoyed reading and learning English.
Survivors are his wife, Guey F. Tzou of Palmer; sons Richard Tzou of Wasilla, Jack Tzou of Palmer, and Scott Tzou of Dallas, Texas; daughter Lily Tzou of Palmer; daughters-in-law AeSook Tzou of Wasilla, Tracy Tzou of Palmer and Mine Hsio Tzou of Texas; grandsons Ronald Tzou of Wasilla, Ben N. Tzou and Bernard Tzou of Palmer and Lawence Tzou of Texas; granddaughter Ann Tzou of California; grandson-in-law Alan Louie of California; and granddaughters Miron Tzou of Wasilla, Amy Tzou of Palmer, Winonna Tzou of Texas and Whitney Wang and Annie Wang of Palmer.
Memorial bequests may be made to the family c/o Peking Chinese Restaurant in Wasilla.
