Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Dale Anderson Holt, 54, died Oct. 6 at his home in Wasilla. Dale was born on July 6, 1955 in Visalia, Calif., to Lawrence and Betty (Kirksey) Holt.
Dale graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1973. In May of 1991, he moved to Wasilla. He was most recently employed at Best Western-Lake Lucille Inn from 2003-2008.
Dale is survived by his parents, Lawrence and Betty Holt of Grants Pass, Ore.; sister, Brenda Pinckley of Wasilla; sister, Linda Lanham of Tulare, Calif.; sister, Debbie Watson of Woodinville, Wash.; nieces and nephews, Carrie Pinckley, Jessica Watson, Brian Pinckley; Jonathan Pinckley and Nick Watson; and numerous, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of Dale’s Life will take place in Wasilla at a later date. There will be additional services in Grants Pass.
Arrangements were with Valley Funeral Home and Crematory in Wasilla.
