Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Dale Houston Auldridge, 59, died Jan. 20, 2013, in Palmer.
A celebration of life is at noon, Jan. 25 at Wasilla Assembly of God. The Rev. Alan Humphries will officiate.
Dale was born Nov. 18, 1953, in Dumas, Texas, to T.H. and Melba Auldridge. After moving to Ninilchik in 1958, Dale also lived in Sterling and Kenai, where he graduated from Kenai Central High School. Before he moved his family to Wasilla, they again lived for several years in north Texas. Dale had a long career in the construction industry; from log home building to material sales and consulting.
The family wrote, “He will be greatly missed as a loving husband, father, grandpa, brother and friend. His love of family and love of the Lord Jesus was an integral part of his character. He was always quick to lend a hand, share a laugh, a game, a campfire or a round of golf.”
Surviving are his wife, Gina (Smith) Auldridge of Wasilla; sons, DJ Auldridge of Arizona and Matthew J Collom of California; daughter and son-in-law, Misty and Adam Mattson of Arizona; daughter and son-in-law, Alisha and Elmo Faustino of North Carolina; daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Devin Kalnins of Oregon; daughter and son-in-law, Caitlyn and Shayne Hill of Alaska; six grandchildren; sisters, Martha Collard, Wanda Holzer and Linda Herr, all of Texas; and numerous extended family members.
Preceding him in death were his parents, T.H. and Melba Auldridge.
