Danny James Sexton

Danny James Sexton

Lifelong Alaskan Danny James Sexton, 56, also affectionately known as “Mulch Man Dan,” died peacefully at his Palmer home June 21. He was born Feb. 12, 1953 in Palmer to Alvin and Mary Sexton.

A celebration of his life will be held 2 p.m., Saturday at Man Made Lake, Knik Road.

Danny lived in Palmer his entire life where he proudly build his home.

Danny is survived by his loving wife, Mary, his sons Brian, Shawn and KC, daughter Jennifer, grandson Corey, brother Bruce Sexton and sister-in-law Carla, sisters Sharon Adams, Kathy Aguilar, Becky Lyons and bother-in-law Tim, nephews, Alvin, Brad, Clayton, Johnny, Ben, Anthony, nieces, Maegan and Jasmine, and many cousins who were like brothers and sisters to him.

Working with his family in construction for 15 years, he always prided himself on old-school work ethic; he rarely missed a day on the job. He loved to fish, hunt, build model airplanes, and most of all, spending time with his grandson Corey. Danny had a soft spot for his bird pal Peaches and dogs Pepper and Smokie. He will be remembered for having a big heart and a laugh that was contagious. Although we are truly saddened by the loss of such a beautiful soul we know he is in a better place now and we will always keep our fond memories of him alive in our hearts forever. We love you Danny!
