On December 1, 2020, Darlene Marie Whatley, 76, daughter of Wilbert and Dorothy Trudell, passed away peacefully at home. A service will be held at the Palmer Seventh-day Adventist church on Jan. 17 at 4 p.m.

She also worked at the Palmer Pioneers Home and First Student. She loved to go camping, hunting, fishing, and gardening. Anytime she could, she always joined us on our family trips to the wilderness.
She is survived by her brother, Terry Trudell; sisters Veronica Bowlin, Lana Fretwell, and Coralee Doyle; her son, Walter Deming; Theresa Deming; Rose Paige; her grandchildren Tamara and Debra Deming, and Nicholas Campanella; and her great-grandchildren Trenton, Tyler, and Timothy Foster, also Colton and Cordell Deming.
The family asks that any flower arrangements be entrusted to the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Palmer.
