Darlene Rose Boyle, 65, died Feb. 5, 2012, at her home in Sutton with her husband Bill at her side after a battle with lung cancer.

She was born June 29, 1946, in Detroit, Mich., to Kenneth and Annabelle (O’Connor) Schneider. She moved to Alaska in 1983 with her husband Bill, and they moved to Sutton where she opened her shop known as the Lady Bug Greenhouse and Gift Shop at her home.

A celebration of life service is planned June 20, at her home in Sutton, where family and friends will gather to share memories and celebrate her life.

Darlene enjoyed camping and fishing with her husband, and he will remember her as the love of his life whose courageous battle with cancer finally got the best of her. She went to be with her daughter, mother and father. Bill and Darlene were married for 30 years, and he will miss her dearly until they meet again in heaven.

Surviving are her husband, Bill of Sutton; aunts, Frances and Charlotte; grandson, Jonathan Coyle and his wife, Amber, and their daughter, Payten; cousins, Chet and Linda Stevens; nephew, Andrew Stevens and his wife, Prissy, and their twins, Emily and Spencer; Bill’s son, Nicholas and his wife, Melanie and their sons, Keegan and Connor; her niece, Andrea and her daughters, Amber and Katie.

Preceding her in death was her daughter, Michele and her parents.

The family suggests memorials in her memory be made to the American Cancer Society.
