Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

David Alan Ordway, 66, of Willow died Feb. 13, 2014, in Orange City, Fla., surrounded by his family.
David was born in Concord, N.H., Jan. 14, 1948, son of Robert and Barbara (Dunstane) Ordway. David served in the U.S. Navy in the 1960s, and the U.S. Army in the 1970s. He lived in Anchorage and Willow for the last 40 years, where he loved to hunt, fish, four-wheel and snowmachine.
David was preceded in death by his father, Robert, four months ago; and his mother, Barbara, last month.
Surviving are his children, Bethany Ordway of Coralville, Iowa, Robert (Mary) Ordway of St. Petersburg, Fla., Christine (John) Cogley of Bakersfield, Calif., Donald (Kelly) Brockstedt of St. Petersburg, Fla., Teresa (Jeffrey St. Sauveur) LeBlanc of Bountiful, Utah and Zebulon (Michelle Gilmore) Ordway of Webster, N.H.; grandchildren, Nicholas and Trista of Bountiful, Utah, Mariella of Webster, N.H., Daniel, Anastasia, and Donson and Dylan of St. Petersburg, Fla.; brothers, Richard (Susan) Ordway of Ocala, Fla., and John Bryant of Stephens City, Va.; sister, Linda (Michael) Mercier of Deltona, Fla.; and step-brothers, Brian (Colleen) Stripp of Chelmsford, Mass. and Douglas (Susan) Stripp of Epping, N.H.
