Dave was born November 18th, 1950 to Wilhelm and Rita Thoene of Illinois. He served our country in the Vietnam War with the Coast Guard, which eventually brought him to Alaska, being stationed on Kodiak Island where he put down roots and started a family. He loved all things Alaska...camping, fishing and being on the water most of all. He also loved the Oregon coast, which is where he chose to enjoy his last few months near family.
Dave was loved by all who knew him and is sorely missed but will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his brother; and sister; 5 children; 18 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
