David L. Kunz (aka Super Dave) of Wasilla, AK, passed away on Monday, April 5,2021.
David was born on January 16, 1947 in Moorhead, MN to George and Orpha (Garrison) Kunz of Barnsville. He grew up in Barnsville with the love of motors, hunting, fishing and anything to do with being outside. He graduated from Barnsville High in 1965. He worked doing construction and met Cheryl Schauer from Dilworth, MN. That marriage brought him two children, Candace and Damian. He moved to Alaska in 1982, where he worked his own construction company till he became Senior Forman for AMI.
He is survived by his daughter, Candace (David) Engelke, Lake Park, MN; son, Damian Kunz, Wasilla; 4 Grandkids and 3 Great Grandkids. He also had 2 brothers, Steve of Dent, MM, Raymond of Barnsville and three sisters, Phyllis (Larry Jr.) Davis of Barnsville, Mary (Chris) Lien, Barnsville, and Karen (Rudy) McCurdy of Forest Lake, MN as well as many nieces and nephews.
He will be cremated and then going on a small plane with his kids for his final wish to be spread on the Alaskan mountains.
