David Michael Allam

October 18, 1948 - January 21, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of David Michael Allam, who departed from this life on January 21, 2025, at the age of 76. David was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather as well as a cherished friend to many whose paths he crossed through his lifetime.

Born on October 18, 1948, in Gladwin, Michigan, to David S. and Eltha (Leonard) Allam in Gladwin, Michigan. He spent his childhood and youth in Michigan where he attended school in Beaverton, Michigan. He signed up to serve in the U.S. Navy where he spent approximately two years which included a tour of the Mediterranean Ocean during the Vietnam war.

David spent his life enriching the lives of those around him. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to his family and friends.

David is survived by his wife of 52-years, Karen (Watson) Allam of Wasilla, Alaska. Son Tavis M. Allam and wife Dawn and their sons Tavis Jr., Mason and Truman of Aberdeen, South Dakota. Daughter Tammy K. (Allam) Teeter and husband Dana of Anchorage, Alaska and their son Alec Teeter, wife Hailey and son Kaizen of Eagle River, Alaska and son Austin Teeter of Anchorage, Alaska. Brothers in law Kelly Watson and Steve Sussman of Haiku, Hawaii. Extended family Jose & Vanessa Santana and their family of Palmer, Alaska. David's father, mother, sister and brothers preceded him in death.

A memorial service and celebration of David's life will be held next August prior to the annual Allam family fishing trip in Kodiak, Alaska. This trip was always a yearly highlight for David and his family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donation be made to a charity, organization or cause close to their heart in his behalf. David's memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace.
