David Robert Lubinski

David Robert Lubinski, 64, died Nov. 19, 2014, in Wasilla.

He was diagnosed with cancer a short 35 days earlier, then got pneumonia and passed away within 24 hours.

Please come and honor his life with his family at 10 a.m., Dec. 5 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center, 821 Dellwood St., Wasilla.

David was born in Detroit, Michigan, and was married to his wife Ella Jean for 44 years. He started his career as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic in Tooele, Utah, mostly self-taught, then got valuable training. He was very knowledgeable in his field. He retired from the Operating Engineer’s Local 302. He last worked at Arctec until 2012. He also worked the Mines in Tooele, Utah, and Jeffery City, Wyoming, in his earlier years.

He loved his family very much, and was survived by his wife, Ella Jean; brother, John; and sister, Donna; daughters, Laurie, Suzye and Heather; sons, Bob and Gary; sons in-law, Steve and Brian; daughter in-law, Margo; grandchildren, Christina (Heber), Jessica (John), Wendle (Monica), Ellie (Afam), Krystal, Amber (Tye), and Melinda; and great grandchildren, Miko, Dodge, James, Jaxon, Sheila, Nathan and Malakai.
