Our dear friend and brother in the Lord, David Simmons, went to be forever with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Monday Aug. 27 at 7pm. Dave was unique, and anyone who met him was sure to get an earful of stories and testimonies of all the great things God has done! David was deeply loved by God as evidenced by God’s protection and provision upon his life. Dave was called by the Lord to ring his bell and wake His people up! He was often seen at a church or event or driving down the road in his truck waving the U.S. and Israel flags with the banners on the side proclaiming: Jesus said “I am the resurrection and the life,” John 11:25,” I am the Way, The Truth, and the Life, no man cometh unto the Father but by Me.” John 14:16 Where will you spend eternity? JESUS THE WAY!! God has graciously granted David his greatest desire: To dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of his life, to behold the beauty of the LORD. Amen! Good-by for now my Friend. We’ll see you soon.

David Stewart Simmons was born Jan. 2, 1941, in Buffalo, NY to Bernard and Pearl Simmons. He was 80yrs. old. Over the many years in Alaska, Dave lived in Anchorage, Eagle River, Fairbanks and lastly the Mat Su Valley, where he frequented many local churches and Christian fellowships. He leaves behind many friends and those whose lives he touched with the love of God, whom he loved very much. As a memorial to David, please tell someone JESUS loves them very much, pray with them and bless them in Jesus’ name.
